This kit makes it easy to understand how electricity works, what electricity can do and how to build working electrical circuits with ease. This is another of our more popular electricity kits. It includes components mounted on transparent bases, so that children can see the path that the electrical current takes as it travels around the circuit - even the connection leads are see-through! Includes 12 clear bases with the following components attached for the exploration of electricity: 1 x triple battery holder (3 x C cells) 2 x single battery holders (1 x C Cell) 1 x linear variable resistor 1 x bell push switch 1 x push to make switch 1 x toggle switch 1 x motor 2 x MES light bulbs 1 x buzzer 1 x festoon bulb and holder 10 x clear wires (fitted with standard 4mm banana plugs) 10 x crocodile clips 2 x spare MES bulbs 1 x spare festoon bulb Requires 5 ’C’ size batteries. (Does not include the Understanding Electricity Support Material)

Designed for 4 groups of children working on electricity all at the same time, this is the most comprehensive of our electricity kits. This set provides everything a school might want to carry out electrical exploration. All of the components come in a deep standard school tray with full teachers guide and pupil notes included. The Kit includes 39 bases. Requires 15 ’C’ size batteries. This kit makes it easy to understand how electricity works, what electricity can do and how to build working electrical circuits with ease. Making a Circuit Couldn’t be Easier. Connection is made using clear wires, that slot neatly into the Fahnstock clips making excellent connections. The switch in this circuit is designed to show how a circuit can be ’closed’ by pressing together two metal strips. Once the circuit closes the current can flow and the bulb lights up.

Electricity Support Material and teacher’s information booklet encourage the pupils to make and test simple circuits and to recognise and record their outcomes. The pages increase in complexity and the illustrations subtly change from three-dimensional pictures to two-dimensional images and then onto circuit symbols. The last card tests understanding by question and answers. All worksheets are photocopy free and the teacher’s guide fully supports each task set and provides all of the background information and answers to the questions posed.
